I was expecting thin, water-bottle-style plastic, but this is a much more substantial, rigid material. It has a nice glossy finish that’s really easy to wipe clean (essential for the bathroom). It feels durable enough to survive being knocked over, and the blue colour is a really nice, sophisticated warm tone.

My biggest concern with the "face" design was that the tissues might get caught on the circular cutouts. Happy to report the edges are super smooth and polished. The tissues glide out of the top slot perfectly, and the "eyes" on the front don't interfere with the dispensing at all. It’s well-engineered, not just a cute face.

I was expecting an off white/beige color as pictured, but it’s actually quite white in real life. There is not much contrast between the eyes and outer case which is quite a bummer. Also, there was no installation guide. The handle was quite intuitive to install, but you have to put some force in it. I was quite afraid for breaking the case as i had to use quite some force. Nothing broke, but it was quite stressful. As for the spring, i have no idea how to install that one.

I’ve had tissue covers before where the bottom was a nightmare to get back on, or it would just fall out if you lifted the box. The bottom on this one clicks in securely. I can pick it up to move it to another room and the tissue box stays perfectly tucked inside. It fits a standard rectangular box from the store without any squeezing.
